Star-shaped bottom openings |
The patented, star-shaped bottom openings are unique and guarantee a maximum water drainage rate and optimal, wide-area rooting (no "narrow downward rooting"). Therefore, creating a solid connection between the grass-covered honeycombs and the substrate. The nutrient and moisture absorption is therefore not only limited to the contents of the chambers. |
Larger chamber volume |
The advantage of the large honeycomb chambers of 5 cm height and corner-to-corner dimensions of 7 cm is apparent to any specialist - roots need room to grow and therefore require space. Since the honeycomb filling is about 0.5 cm below the top edge after laying, a height of 4.5 cm is stilled available in our honeycomb for the substrate. |
Optimum webbing ratio |
The optimal web ratio allows up to 100% green coverage with maximum stability. The grass-covered honeycombs can be driven on immediately after laying by a truck or loader for backfilling. |
Slip-resistant nubs |
The slip-resistant nubs reduce the risk of slipping when wet, because grass in conjunction with plastic and moisture can be very slippery. |
Bottom pins |
14 bottom pins per plate secure the grass-covered honeycomb against slipping from laying until full root penetration or when filled with gravel or crushed stone. This avoids costs for additional anchoring pins. |
Fast laying capacity |
The high laying capacity of at least 40 m² per man-hour on a prepared base is achieved due to the lock-free connection. As a grass-covered honeycomb only weighs 1250 g, no machine costs need to be allowed for. If necessary, the professional can cut it with an angle grinder or a jigsaw with an extended blade. |
Pure materials | We exclusively use 100% pure-grade HDPE recycled material. This is UV stable, groundwater-neutral, does not contaminant the soil, durable and recyclable. |
