For us, medical research does not begin in the laboratory but much earlier

in the OP or in CSSD's, at congresses, conferences and at trade fairs.

 

This is where we obtain new ideas for functionally optimised products.

Here also requirements are generated which we cannot meet with standard

product development.Complex demands on materials and processes or

interactions between materials and processes sometimes require collaboration

between a variety of specialists and research institutes.

 

In the collaborative project PLASMOSE (FKZ: 13N8668) we have been involved

in the development of a plasma compatible sterile barrier system with ignition

of a plasma within the container, as well as its economic and environmental

assessment. This is based on our years of experience with the development

and production of sterile barrier systems made of high-performance plastic

(Sterisafe®).
In the collaborative projective ENDOPLAS (FKZ: 13N9321) we have developed

a novel sterile barrier system for plasma sterilization of thermally sensitive

instruments with small lumen, such as flexible endoscopes.
Both collaborative projects were funded by the German Federal Ministry

of Education and Research (BMBF).
